IMS Nederland: your reliable partner for steel, stainless steel and aluminium since 1954
IMS Nederland was founded in Schiedam in 1954 as the Dutch subsidiary of SCHMOLZ+BICKENBACH in Germany. Initially, the range mainly consisted of (bright) steel. As time passed, engineering steel, stainless steel and aluminium were added to the product range and IMS Nederland evolved into an all-round supplier.
Since 2015, the company has been part of the French-based IMS group, which was founded in 1980 following a merger between several trading companies and was acquired in 2010 by Jacquet Metal Service.
IMS group is currently represented in 9 European countries and has 49 distribution centres. The group employs roughly 1450 people. In 2018, IMS group achieved a profit of approximately €1 billion.
